If you do not approve, the watch can be collected by appointment and the inspection fee applies.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions about our services

Which watch brands does EM Watch Service repair?
EM Watch Service repairs mechanical and quartz watches from all common brands: Seiko, Rolex, Oris, Nomos, Festina, Skagen and similar. Replicas, smartwatches and mechanical clocks are not accepted.
How long does a watch repair take?
A standard repair or overhaul takes from a few days to around 6 weeks on average, depending on parts availability and what needs to be done. You receive a message as soon as your watch is ready.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, EM Watch Service works by appointment. You can easily book via WhatsApp, email or the contact form. That way you can be sure there is time for you and you avoid unnecessary waiting.
What does an inspection cost?
The inspection fee is €35. This includes a diagnosis of your watch. If you go ahead with the repair, the inspection fee is deducted from the repair cost.
Is my watch still water-resistant after a repair?
After any repair where the case has been opened, water resistance is not automatically restored, as it was not guaranteed beforehand either. If you would like your watch made water-resistant again, this can be done as an additional service, including replacement of the seals.
Does EM Watch Service use genuine parts?
Wherever possible, genuine parts are used. For common mechanical and quartz calibres, quality Swiss replacement parts are available. You are always informed in advance about the parts to be used and the associated cost.

Yes, of course. EM Watch Service serves customers from across the Utrecht region, including Nieuwegein, IJsselstein, Vianen, Bunnik, Zeist and other surrounding municipalities, as well as the whole of the Netherlands. Customers from further afield are welcome too; sending your watch by post is possible.
Do you also repair vintage watches?
Yes, EM Watch Service also handles vintage mechanical and quartz watches. Some older calibres require specific parts that are harder to obtain; after inspection you are informed about the options and costs.
Can I send my watch by post?
Yes, you can send your watch safely. Pack it securely and preferably use a registered shipment. Get in touch beforehand via WhatsApp or email so the watch can be registered; that way it is expected and can be taken into service.
How does payment work?
Payment is made after the repair is completed. You can pay by card or bank transfer; cash is not possible. An invoice is always provided so you have a full overview of the work carried out and the costs.
