The price depends on several factors: the brand, the type of part, the age and the wear. That is why EM Watch Service works with starting and guide prices, plus a €35 inspection fee (for an accurate quote) that is waived when you proceed with a service.

The prices shown are guide prices including VAT. The final price depends on the brand, the type of movement, the age of the watch and its condition. Any additional parts are listed separately and never replaced without your approval. That way you know where you stand up front and there are no surprises afterwards.

Surcharges

• In-house movement: € 35 surcharge

FULL SERVICE

What does a full service involve?

From disassembly to water-resistance testing, this is broadly what you can expect.

✓Opening the case and fully dismantling the movement

✓Refreshing the case and bracelet*

✓Ultrasonic cleaning of the case and bracelet

✓Cleaning all movement parts and checking them for wear

✓Assessing the mainspring and replacing it if needed*

✓Reassembling the movement

✓Checking the bracelet and crown

✓Testing for water resistance

* Repairing or replacing parts (at additional cost); should this be necessary, you will be contacted first.

WARRANTY

Warranty terms

Partial repairs

12 months’ warranty on the replaced part (if new), not on the running of the movement. Donor parts are excluded. No warranty on mainspring breakage in manual-wind watches.

Battery replacement

12 months’ warranty on the running of the battery, provided the measured values are good. Not on the running of the movement.

Full overhaul, modern

12 months’ warranty on the running of the movement, where all parts are newly available and wear parts have been replaced. Mainspring breakage in manual-wind watches excluded.

Full overhaul, vintage

All repairs carry a 3-month warranty on functioning. Vintage movements are restored to the best possible operation, not to new. Genuine parts are often no longer available, so not everything is predictable.

Water resistance

No warranty on water resistance, even after a positive test. This is a snapshot in time. Recommendation: have it tested yearly.

Own fault

No warranty on damage from knocks, drops or moisture caused by the owner.
